Longrain Sydney is a 14 ½ year old Restaurant & Bar on Commonwealth Street in Surry Hills. It is an Asian inspired restaurant that also offers a casual Street style lunch Monday to Friday, a cocktail bar with great DJ’s open every evening. I am also a partner in The Apollo restaurant in Potts Point and my other baby Longrain Melbourne is now 8 years old.
Favourite thing about your job?
Having a front bar as an office, my staff, my customers. Beer.
How long have you been in the area?
14 ½ years at Longrain however I was born in Surry Hills and went to high school in Moore Park and in the mid- late eighties Surry Hills was a great place for truancy.
What makes your business unique?
A restaurant that has been open in Sydney for almost 15 years!

Riley St Cafe and wine.

Breakfast and coffee at Rueben Hills, Surry Hills markets for a bargain, beers and at burger on the balcony of the Clock Hotel, Dinner at Longrain, The Cricketers Arms for pool and beers and if still hungry or a bit wobbly down to Fatimas on Cleveland St for a Shawarma.
What do you like about Grand Royal Barbers?
Probably the 80’s and 90’s British Soundtrack and trying to decipher what Maria is saying.
