Meet your local… Outfitter
Chris from Collector Store
473 Crown Street, Surry Hills
Describe your business.
An eclectic curated retail experience. A fusion of fashion, smalls, interiors and must haves.
Favourite thing about your job?
Talking with the locals, having a chat and sneaky beer with the late night shoppers.
How long have you been in the area?
We have lived in the area for about 14 years and we have had this business for close to 5 years now.
What makes your business unique?
I guess its our pick of things in store that we try to keep as original as we can. The mix of clothing to home-wares. There is a very broad range of selections.
What’s your Surry Hills secret?
Not telling! We live and run a business in Surry Hills and that keeps us close to everyone. Many locals come in for a chat and we love that. We are not all about the sale. We are about the experience and good old fashioned customer service is very important to us.
Describe the perfect Surry Hills weekend.
Good coffee, bacon and eggs followed by a bloody mary. It’s all here.
What do you like about Grand Royal Barbers?
Ye ol school big chairs. Wet shave.
Describe your style.
Relaxed urban city-dweller or something.
Wet shave or electric?
Try not to do it too often, but wet shave would be the winner.
Shoes or thongs?
Jesus boots all the way.
Your favourite city?
That all depends on what you are doing there, but it would be New York.
